Painting Competition

The BTE painting competition makes a triumphant return this year with simplified entry structure and a change to how winners are picked as well as some additional trophies to hand out! Simply figure out which category/categories you want to enter, bring your models along to the Expo and keep your fingers crossed for a trophy!

Painting Competition Rules

  • Competition entries may be submitted at any time over the weekend

  • Painting competition entrants may submit up to one entry per category

  • The Youngblood category may only be entered by painters aged 15 and under

  • Models may be any scale and from any manufacturer, 3D print etc but recasts will not be accepted

  • Entries must be appropriate for public display/SFW

  • Judges will select winners for each category - There will be no public vote

  • Winners and Awards will be announced on Sunday at 3pm

  • Any entries that are not collected by the end of the Expo will be stored at the Hobby Hive shop for collection

  • Entrants accept that any damage or loss during the competition is not the responsibility of the Bedford Tabletop Expo or Hobby Hive

  • All entries will be displayed over the weekend inside glass cabinets for safety/security

Painting Competition Categories

Single Miniature - Gold, Silver, Bronze
One Miniature with a base size/footprint up to 60mm

Group or Unit - Gold, Silver, Bronze
Two to Ten Miniatures with base sizes/footprints up to 40mm each

Large Miniature - Gold, Silver, Bronze
One Miniature with a base size/footprint of at least 60mm

Youngblood - Gold, Silver, Bronze
Up to three miniatures of any size as a single entry. Under 16s Only.

BEST IN SHOW
A special award for the overall favourite entry across all categories.
